depressive powers—activate!

Happy Birthday, Antoinette Rudolph!!!

I just read an interesting article: Limewire Hits Back Hard: Sues RIAA For Antitrust And Consumer Fraud

I’m pleased that Limewire is standing tall. Yes, I do use iTunes these days, but my problem with iTunes is that their selection is so limited. Limewire’s isn’t. If you’re looking for anything even remotely obscure, iTunes probably won’t have it. That’s not to say that Limewire is perfect—there are plenty of tracks unavailable there—but their offerings are far meatier than those provided by iTunes. I think there are probably quite a few folks out there who would pay for their music—rather than swiping it for free from a file-sharing program—if they could actually find their chosen music on a pay site. Often it’s not so much that people aren’t willing to drop 99¢ on a song, but that they can’t find the song(s) they want at iTunes, nu-Napster, etc.

Meanwhile, Seabsy and I have been talking about how excellent it would be if we could assemble a Justice League comprised exclusively of our mentally ill friends. Everyone’s superpower would simply be his/her individual case of mental illness. If I were a cartoonist, I would draw that puppy now!
